For Spring, Wauchob continues to explore her constantly evolving perception of femininity, the designers’ signature ethereal silhouettes were juxtaposed with sharp, androgynous tailoring: delicately fringed frocks were paired with bold, oversized dusters. In keeping with her fascination with bespoke men’s tailoring, Wauchob’s debut into the co-ed crew was marked by a collaboration with Saville Row tailors Norton & Sons, cultivating a dominant theme of expertly crafted suits in rich textures, creating a strong silhouette and giving the collection an architectural edge. Shirting also played a key role in the show: draped, tucked and cut with oversized pointed collars and sheer paneling.

It seems that Wauchob’s emergence into menswear has enabled her to perfect the balance between simplicity and complexity, fluidity and structure. Her SS19 collection is innovative yet classic and perhaps her most technical yet.
