Barcelona based designer Selim de Somavilla, presents in exclusive his Fall/Winter 2014 “Downtown” lookbook featuring Federico Dorcazberro at View Management captured by Alejandro Brito.
“DOWNTOWN” is a unisex proposal, a collection full of all of the contrasts we are used to from him. Warm fabrics such as wool, silk or leather juxtaposed on other artificial ones such as polyester, technological fabrics or imitation leather are used. In this case diamond shaped and the wheat ear motifs play an important part. Pattern and color are two strengths in the proposal. The way they combine to create an atmosphere once again takes us to a very personal universe…
Legacy and modernity. It is time to leave customs and traditions behind. Perennial routine forgotten for a second. The traces always belying the origin. But everything can change, because everything is possible in DOWNTOWN.
