Constança Entrudo’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, Second Best, explores society’s fixation on winners and losers, shifting the spotlight to the often-overlooked beauty of the second place. The collection challenges the pressures of meritocracy, celebrating effort, process, and the quiet strength found in acceptance. It’s a reflection on the idea that not all that glitters is gold, and sometimes, silver shines just as brightly.

The presentation took place at Lisbon’s newly renovated Centro de Arte Moderna Gulbenkian, where Constança created a textile installation to complement the collection. This installation reflects her belief that the relationship between fabric and the spaces we inhabit shapes our sensory experiences and memories. The collection’s silhouettes draw inspiration from 80s Olympic sportswear, blending athletic influences with a narrative that honors second place. Silver metallics, foil details, and prints of confetti and fireworks appear throughout, capturing the bittersweet celebration of silver medals—moments that are often seen as mere performances.

For the debut, Constança transformed the CAM space with textile sculptures inspired by podiums, displayed alongside the garments. Live performances and a large video installation brought the theme of forced celebration to life, creating an immersive experience that honored the quiet beauty of silver linings.
