Fashion house Givenchy has announced the appointment of Sarah Burton as its new Creative Director, effective immediately. Burton will be responsible for overseeing the creative direction of all Women’s and Men’s collections for the brand.

Burton brings a wealth of experience to Givenchy, having previously served as Creative Director at Alexander McQueen for over a decade. During her tenure at McQueen, she gained a reputation for her innovative designs, meticulous craftsmanship, and ability to blend tradition with modernity.

It is a great honor to be joining the beautiful house of Givenchy,” Burton stated. “I am so excited to be able to write the next chapter in the story of this iconic house and to bring to Givenchy my own vision, sensibility, and beliefs.”

Sidney Toledano, Chairman of the Givenchy board, expressed his enthusiasm for Burton’s appointment, emphasizing her unique vision and approach to fashion. “I am convinced that her creative leadership will contribute to the future success and international standing of the Maison,” Toledano said.

Burton will present her first collection for Givenchy in March 2025.
