Roger Federer and Jonathan Anderson Team Up to Create a New LifeWear Style
by Adriano Batista
UNIQLO is set to launch the hotly anticipated Roger Federer by JW ANDERSON collection, a dynamic collaboration between the tennis legend Roger Federer, UNIQLO’s Global Brand Ambassador, and the designer Jonathan Anderson.
This sportswear line effortlessly blends Roger’s timeless style with JW ANDERSON’s bold and modern aesthetic. Geared towards active individuals seeking comfort without compromising on style, the collection effortlessly fuses athletic wear with everyday apparel.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be launching our new collection designed jointly by Roger Federer and JW ANDERSON. A new style of LifeWear was created by combining the unique talents of a tennis legend and a fashion leader,” said Koji Yanai, Fast Retailing Senior Executive Officer and Head of UNIQLO Global Marketing including Sports. “While developing his tennis wear, we often exchanged opinions with Roger about how it could be worn and enjoyed both On and Off the Court. With this in mind, we immediately thought of JW ANDERSON because he has a deep understanding of sports and performance wear. I am confident that everyone will find something in the new collection that suits their individual daily style.”
Roger Federer shared his excitement about fulfilling his dream of creating a collection that caters perfectly to both tennis and daily life. He felt fortunate to have shared this vision with Jonathan, and together, they crafted an elegant and comfortable line that embodies the essence of classic tennis style. Jonathan Anderson himself was thrilled when approached to collaborate with Roger Federer. He expressed profound admiration for Roger and his impact on him as a tennis player. Together, they designed a collection that effortlessly transitions from a match to a classic urban look, delivering elevated and timeless pieces for everyone who looks up to Roger Federer.
The collection is slated for release on September 4, 2023.
