Prototypes celebrates football culture with Series 06 collection. The design collective, known for their upcycling and repurposing ethos, pays homage to football as a social glue in working class Britain, where the sport is facing gentrification.

Prototypes brings back the grass-roots spirit and explores the whole wardrobe, drawing inspiration from FW24’s cultural icons: the people who make up the backbone of any local club — the groundskeeper, the kitman, the coach, the youth — are valued for their role.

Following the brand’s philosophy, Series 06 is made from upcycled sportswear such as tracksuits or old football shirts. This time, sportswear is seen as another type of uniform. One that is discarded and replaced every season and is therefore plentiful as a source for upcycling.
