PHIPPS x DEPARTAMENTO: Rose Bowl Flea Market Pop-Up
by Adriano Batista

After launching the PHIPPS GOLD LABEL vintage collection last year exclusively online, PHIPPS showcased and sold the best of their collection at the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena, California.
Following their recent highly acclaimed SS22 Paris Fashion Week runway collection, which featured a small capsule of GOLD LABEL pieces, PHIPPS joined forces with local retailer DEPARTAMENTO to host the event. They set up a booth among the best vintage clothing vendors in the world, featuring all kinds of exclusive items like amazing t-shirts, accessories, vintage sportswear, denim, and even some exceptionally rare runway pieces.
In an effort to curb overproduction in the fashion industry, PHIPPS introduced PHIPPS GOLD LABEL VINTAGE: a collection of PHIPPS-customized vintage and deadstock garments sourced from around the world and expertly curated for modern tastes. From beautifully aged flannels and collectible t-shirts to customized denim heirlooms, each item tells a unique story and creates a waste-free, timeless sense of PHIPPS style.
Held on the 2nd Sunday of every month, the Rose Bowl flea market is known as ‘the greatest flea market on earth” with over 2500 of the world’s best vendors selling antiques, vintage clothing, local art, and specialty products. The legendary Rose Bowl Flea Market is celebrating over 45 years of continued success. The flea market attracts 20,000 buyers, including celebrities and interior designers.
