Patta and Joe Freshgoods have reunited for a new collaboration titled “PattaGoods.” This is their first capsule collection, uniting two independent, Black-owned brands.

The collection is built on a shared love for the community spaces where both brands have their roots: block parties, record stores, and recreation centers. The campaign was shot on the historic South Side of Chicago at the First Presbyterian Church. The visuals draw from the aesthetics of 1970s youth centers and vintage community graphics.

For the campaign, the youth gospel choir The Soul Children of Chicago performs “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” adding a layer of history and spirit to the project. The capsule itself includes straightforward staples: a varsity jacket, tees, mesh jerseys, denim, jogging pants, caps, and long-sleeves.

As Joe Freshgoods explains, the project is about more than product. It aims to bridge Chicago and Amsterdam, the two cities that shaped the brands’ creative identities. The goal was to create something familiar yet new, meant to be experienced.
