Titled in reference to the seminal film and Jean-Luc Godard’s directorial debut “À BOUT DE SOUFFLE“, which birthed the free-spirited nouvelle vague cinema movement in the 1960s, this collection is set amongst the intermingling scents of les escargots, tartare de boeuf, and le vin rouge, amid frenzy of the French brasserie. Being an environment of contrast, constant fluctuation, the brasserie serves as the setting for an interpretative exploration of the interplay between the mundane and the radical; a collection of characters with a coherency based in incoherency, at a “breathless” moment in time.
