Why is it that most of the rumors that start to make the fashion scene buzz about collaborations, new appointments, and so on, always turn out to be true? No idea; or well yes, but we’ll leave that up to the leakers. The fact is, once again, after several months of hearing rumors about a possible alliance between Palace Skateboards and Gucci, these have been confirmed.
All this talk has been confirmed after the launch of the book that the streetwear brand has just presented. Palace x Gucci is a fact, it’s official, and Alessandro Michele (creative director of the Italian fashion house) and Palace’s co-founders Lev Tanju and Gareth Skewis will work together to design a collection that will be based on the British label’s archive and Gucci’s intergenerational influence on youth culture. Explosive mix, isn’t it? And it doesn’t end there, as this joint project will mark Palace’s debut in the world of women’s ready-to-wear.
The items that will make up the collection will bring together the hallmarks of both companies, such as Gucci’s iconic double G logos and Palace’s Tri-Ferg motifs.
Palace x Gucci will be available exclusively through the Gucci Vault on Friday 21st October and in pop-up stores in Paris, Milan, Tokyo, Osaka, and Bangkok, as well as Palace stores in London, New York, Los Angeles, and Tokyo.
