The Italian brand La Terra di Neena is making its U.S. debut. The brand, which produces artisanal olive oil and home goods, presented an installation at the inaugural Basic.Space NY event in SoHo. The display features a furniture collection created in collaboration with Crosby Studios.

The project began when the brand’s founder, Tyler Billinger, and his partner, Crosby Studios founder Harry Nuriev, purchased a 17th-century farmhouse in Tuscany. Nuriev led the renovation of the property, adapting his signature aesthetic of graphic silhouettes and metallic finishes to the rustic setting. An informal olive harvest with family and friends on the restored land inspired the creation of the olive oil business.

After four years of work, Billinger enlisted Crosby Studios again to help shape the brand’s identity. The resulting collection synthesizes family heritage with contemporary design. It includes olive oil canisters, sculptural vases inspired by dented tins, and a chair made from unused cans from a previous harvest.

For the New York presentation, they unveiled new pieces, including a dining table and stools that resemble oversized olive oil canisters, and mirrored dinner plates engraved with brand motifs.

As Nuriev explains, the collaboration is an example of his concept of “Transformism,” the act of turning one thing into another without denying its origin. Billinger adds that working with the land has shifted their relationship with time, encouraging a slower, more intentional way of living rooted in process and tradition.
