Virgil Abloh presented showed his Spring/Summer 2019 collection for Off-White during Paris Fashion Week at Théâtre National de Chaillot in Trocadéro the day before his much-hyped debut at Louis Vuitton.

Green is good, from the brightly fluorescent hints to a more sombre tone making up the runway. “Off” branding donned throughout the collection but it was hard not to spot the Bart Simpson emblazed pieces reminiscent of Jeremy Scott back in 2012. Hoodies and Jackets were cut more fitted than previous seasons and meeting just above the hip. The soundtrack sampled Smashing Pumpkins and Krafterk but the real surprise was a Bing Crosby mix to White Christmas while snow fell midway in a summer collection.

Abloh also revealed Off-White™ branding on the back of a black jacket, as well as the season and “Collection 010.”

“Collection 010.” was in honor of American graffiti artist “Dondi White” with stitched and painted references cropping up throughout the collection. Dondi was much noted for using clear and defined writing, because he wanted his work to be recognized and shared, its hard not to see similar ideology in Abloh’s own work.
