Fifty years is a long time to stay ahead of the curve. For Oakley, it’s been five decades of innovation, turning science into design, and refusing to blend in. To mark the occasion, they’ve dropped the Oakley Ellipse 50th Anniversary, a limited-edition piece that honors their past while staring straight into the future.

Nick Garfias, Oakley’s VP of Design, puts it simply: “Take the logo off, and it’s still unmistakably us.” The design revolves around the brand’s signature ellipse, pulling inspiration from three different eras: the bold ‘90s, the modern Radar EV, and a lens built with next-gen PhysioMorphic™ Geometry tech. The result? A frame that feels timeless, finished in Midas Fleck with black detailing, gold accents, and 24K Prizm™ lenses.

Oakley has always been about evolution, but this release is a reminder: no matter how much changes, their DNA stays the same. The Ellipse 50th Anniversary is a nod to the rebels, the athletes, and the innovators who’ve worn their gear, and a promise that the next 50 years will be just as disruptive.
