NRGY by Revo Launches CXN_01 Collection Under J Balvin’s Creative Direction
by Adriano Batista
When J Balvin puts his name on something, you know it won’t be ordinary. With CXN_01, his debut collection as Creative Director of NRGY by Revo, he and designer Mattias Gollin have created eyewear that feels like it was pulled from a scientist’s lab, if that scientist had an impeccable sense of style.
This isn’t just about looking cool (though they do). It’s about seeing differently, literally. Built on Revo’s NASA-developed polarized lens tech, these frames are engineered for clarity, but their inspiration comes from the mysteries of the universe: quantum entanglement, dark matter, planetary resonance. The designs play with the idea of invisible forces, the hidden connections between everything, and turn them into something you can wear.
The details tell the story. Visible screws give the frames an industrial edge, while the NRGY logo (three colliding atoms) hints at the energy behind the brand. Each of the 10 styles feels like a tool for exploration, as if they were designed not just for looking at the world, but for studying it.
“Design has always been a passion for me. When I met Mattias [Gollin] I realized we shared the same obsession. We collaborated on our own custom glasses designs just for fun. but people began to ask about them, and how they could get a pair. So we went looking for a partner who supported our vision and understood the importance of innovation. That led us to Revo, a company known for revolutionary tech with their NASA lens tech, some of the best lens technology you can find. So here we are, bringing this vision to life is a dream come true.” – J Balvin, Creative Director
