Nice Ghost Club Spring/Summer 2021 Lookbook
by Anna Barr
Kitsch and cute, Korean street band Nice Ghost Club just unveiled their Spring/Summer 2021 lookbook for their collection “The Party” which marks the new independent brand 21SPRING through the collaboration between artwork capsule collection Nice Ghost Club and anonymous designer ISTKUNST. The 21SPRING collection sees the re-release of the explosive Gumi Bear logo hoodie as a Terry material and features a variety of lineups.
Chainsaw bunnies, honey high bears, and kittens in need of a belly rub are just some of the artwork, which even poses the question “Am I a rabbit? Or a bear with long ears?” Be careful though, they might be ghosts, but nice ones at that! Additionally, some pieces such as logo sweatshirts, long skirts, skirt pants, and large bear sweatpants experience with photometric embroidery that glows in the dark.
Boundaries of time and culture are unraveled taking inspiration from hip-hop, and skater culture from the nineties to noughties. Retro moods, sparkling splendor, and teenager vibes add to the identity of the Nice Ghost Club through witty styling and unique colors from ocean blue, lizard and pea green, pillow purple, to ice pop orange clashing with lots of checks and plaids.
