Nanushka and Zara announce their partnership
by Gabriel Córdoba Acosta
Only a couple of months after Nanushka – a fashion house founded in Budapest by Sandra Sandor in 2005 – celebrated its twentieth anniversary at New York Fashion Week, it has unveiled its surprise collaboration with Inditex giant Zara.
The partnership involves the development of several collections, including menswear, jewelry, and homeware. All of them embody the spirit of innovative craftsmanship and the functional beauty of the house and are rooted in the Hungarian aesthetic tradition. Simultaneously, they also reflect the designer’s history as a cultural crossroads and her intuitively progressive approach.

In terms of clothing, there are casual and relaxed styles in neutral and acid tones such as denim or tasty knitted sets comprising jackets or sweatshirts with zips and matching trousers, bomber jackets, tank or long-sleeved tops, and knitted jumpers or cardigans. Besides this range, there is also a more formal selection, comprising shirts, knitted jumpers with leather details on the collar, zipped jackets, double-breasted coats with distinctive shoulders and lapels and leather details on the cuffs, and tailored pieces such as blazers, waistcoats, or pleated trousers in different lengths with darts and belt fastenings.
Accessories, footwear, and jewelry complement the aforementioned part of the collection. Accessories such as bucket hats, belts, or bowler bags in different sizes; footwear like slippers, babouches, or leather ankle boots; and jewelry including necklaces, earrings, rings, and silver bracelets, except some that have a touch of aqua green due to the stone that accompanies them.
Nanushka and Zara’s collection will be available for purchase on October 28th. at Zara.com and in selected Zara stores.
