Nair Xavier unveiled her “Orchidarium” SS15 lookbook, featuring Miguel Vital at Karacter Models shot by Ricardo Santos and styled by Joel Alves. Make-up by Vicki Marie.
There are more than 20.000 species of orchids around the world. “Orchidarium” is the anatomical interpretation of orchids, reconstructed and adapted to contemporary menswear. The movie “Wild Orchids” (1929) was also one of the main inspirations to the aesthetic and silhouette. This collection merges the classic tailoring with sportswear, bringing the “Roaring Twenties” to the present day. “Orchidarium” also mixes natural materials with technological ones.
