Esta diseñadora catalana originaria de Manresa procede de una familia con una antigua tradición textil que se remonta a principios del siglo XIX.
Todo empezó cuando Miriam Ponsa decidió reformar el espacio de la antigua fábrica familiar para instalar en ella su taller. Reconoce que el ambiente que se respira en este lugar tiene algo mágico que le recuerda a su infancia y que, al mismo tiempo, se acerca a su trabajo de un modo irremediable.
Miriam Ponsa abre las puertas de su mundo con su primera tienda propia en Barcelona, en la zona del Borne (c/ Princesa, 14), donde da forma a un espacio totalmente personal. Y recientemente ha abierto una segunda tienda en la zona del Raval de Barcelona.
La firma Miriam Ponsa es reconocida por su delicado trabajo de patronaje y combinación de tejidos. La línea que propone MÍRIAM PONSA tiene algo especial que la vincula a sus creencias y la hace experimentar con texturas a través del látex y otros materiales atípicos para la confección. La diseñadora estudia nuevas técnicas para conseguir texturas y acabados exclusivos.
Esta investigación la ha llevado a crear el mobiliario de su tienda y otros encargos personales. Presenta sus prendas exclusivas creadas con látex a través de desfiles, y su producción se limita a prendas únicas por encargo.
