MELLER x Lazy Oaf “Kare” Sunglasses
by Adriano Batista
Some sunglasses protect your eyes from the sun, these ones come with an imaginary dog. MELLER teams up with Lazy Oaf for a limited-edition pair of sunnies designed for true dog lovers. Meet Kare, the pup-shaped accessory that’s equal parts playful and practical.
The campaign plays on the idea of an invisible but ever-present canine companion. A devoted owner walks their “dog” (which, of course, isn’t really there), turning heads in parks and city streets. The joke lands perfectly because sometimes, the best friendships don’t need to be seen to be believed. And with Kare, your four-legged friend perches right on your head, no leash required.
At first glance, they’re just a sleek pair of sunglasses: MELLER’s signature silhouette with Lazy Oaf’s mischievous touch. But look closer, and the details reveal the humor: a tiny pup on each temple, pink gradient lenses for a sweet-but-sassy vibe, and that unmistakable “side-eye” charm. Lightweight, fun, and ready for any summer adventure, they’re the hassle-free bestie you never knew you needed. If you’re the type who stops to pet every dog on the street or has a camera roll full of neighborhood pups, Kare is your spirit accessory.
The frames use bio-based materials, cutting down on petroleum waste and reducing CO2 emissions by 30% in production. So, while Kare might be an imaginary dog, the brand’s commitment to a greener future is very real.
