The new MariusPetrus Spring/Summer 2014 collection entitled “Notus” is inspired by an enduring fascination with continuous cycles and movement. The collection takes it’s name from the Greek god of the Southern wind, as the wind – in all it’s tenderness and destructiveness – is the main source of inspiration. The collection merges both opposites, referencing the capricious lines of wind-eroded rocks as well as the smooth, rounded curves of modern aerodynamics.

These influences visualize themselves in this season’s all new prints, as much as in the use of fabrics and shape – ranging from agile nylon and techno wools to sturdy cottons and from oversized, flowing volumes to tightly tapered cuts.
