Maison Christian Louboutin appoints Jaden Smith as its first Men’s Creative Director
by Adriano Batista
Maison Christian Louboutin has named Jaden Smith its first Men’s Creative Director. This is a major step in the growth of the brand’s men’s division. Smith will lead the creation of four collections each year, covering men’s shoes, leather goods, and accessories. His role will also include shaping the broader world of the brand, from campaigns to events and experiences.

The partnership began with a meeting in Paris in 2019. Christian Louboutin was struck by Smith’s inventive spirit, his view of the world, and his deep respect for the Maison. Their connection was immediate, built on a shared appreciation for vision and individuality.
That initial spark has grown into a shared creative journey. Smith brings a perspective shaped by cultural curiosity and a fearless approach to expression. As a multi-faceted artist with nearly ten years of collaboration with Louboutin, plus his own work in fashion, music, and activism, he is positioned to interpret the brand’s legacy through his own lens.
Christian Louboutin says of the appointment: “When I first met Jaden, I saw in him a natural fit for the Maison… I felt that with his creative direction our men’s collection would evolve in an exciting and dynamic way.”
For Smith, the role feels like a creative home. “Merging my vision with Christian’s comes quite naturally because we see the world in a very similar way,” he says. “It isn’t just a title, it’s a place to explore, to learn, and to create freely.”
The move also reflects the strategic importance of the men’s line, which now represents 24% of the business. As CEO Alexis Mourot notes, “This is the perfect time to strengthen our creative team.”
An initial capsule by Smith will be available in January, with his full debut collection shown during Men’s Paris Fashion Week in January 2026.
