British designer and artist Luke Edward Hall is renowned for fusing whimsical imagination with historical allusions in a distinctive way. He studied menswear design at Central Saint Martins after being born in Hampshire in 1989, but his unique style of illustration is what has made him well-known. Dreamlike images and recurrent themes like sailors, mythical creatures, and faces are common in Hall’s work. This spring, Hall is bringing his signature illustrations to MSGM this spring.

Hall is noted for working from his studio in an Oxfordshire farm barn, and his passion for classical art, architecture, and the English countryside all have an impact on his intensely personal artistic practice. His work is inventive and nostalgic, just like this creative area, which is full of charm and inspiration.

The collaboration feels both traditional and deliciously weird, is the product of the partnership, which turns into a dialogue between Hall’s unique storytelling and Massimo Giorgetti’s vision of an abstract Mediterranean dream. With a fictional coastal city out of sunlight, sails, and salt air, MSGM delves deeply into the realm of the sea, memory, and nostalgia. Hall’s world of legendary animals, romantic seafarers, and dreamy features blends in perfectly with this vision, enhancing its poetic quality printed across oversized shirts and soft knits.
