Lindsay Lohan is becoming somewhat of a cult figure, making a leap from the tabloids to the art world. Her latest project is the first short film by the New York-based artist Richard Phillips, a 90-second motion portrait of Lindsay Lohan, where Richard explores the legacies of classical portraiture in relation to contemporary culture’s mediated representations. The film will be presented by the Garage Center for Contemporary Culture in Venice between 1 – 5 June 2011, concurrent with the 54th international exhibition of the Venice Biennale.
