Levi’s® x Nike: Where Denim Meets Air
by Adriano Batista
Two American icons collide in the latest Levi’s® and Nike collaboration, merging denim heritage with sneaker culture. The collection centers on three special editions of Nike’s Air Max 95, each reimagined with premium Levi’s® denim, a first for the iconic silhouette.
The White/Ecru pair blends soft ecru and matte white denim with a gum sole for a clean, neutral look. The Black version makes a statement with heavyweight 14-ounce black denim, while the Denim iteration mirrors the collection’s apparel washes in classic indigo. All three models feature exclusive details: the right shoe bears a red Levi’s® tab under the Swoosh, the outsole arches display Levi’s® branding, and the insoles get a dollar-bill print on red. Even the shoeboxes transform, wrapped in Levi’s® signature red with batwing logo accents.
Beyond footwear, the capsule includes a Trucker Jacket and Baggy Jeans cut from selvedge denim. The jacket keeps its Type II structure but swaps traditional branding for Nike chain-stitch logos, while the jeans offer an intentionally roomy fit to showcase the sneakers. Both pieces feature light distressing and leather co-branded patches.
“This collaboration honors our shared legacy while pushing design forward,” says Levi’s® VP of collaborations Leo Gamboa. The timing aligns with the Air Max 95’s 30th anniversary, celebrated by incorporating Levi’s® denim into Nike’s “Big Bubble” cushioning system, a hybrid of sport and lifestyle.
Campaign faces like rapper Larry June, WNBA’s Paige Bueckers, and NFL’s Keon Coleman embody the intersection of streetwear and athletics.
