Get ready for Le Labo‘s new City Exclusives! This year, they’re introducing Coriandre 39, a fragrance inspired by Mexico City.

Deborah Royer, Le Labo’s Creative Director, describes Coriandre 39 as more than just a fragrance. “It’s an ode to Mexico City,” she says. “Its namesake, the humble (at times divisive) cilantro plant, lends a vegetal lushness both grounding and surprising—much like the city’s intoxicating blend of vibrant aliveness and deep history, of birdsong and urban buzz, of infinite discoveries around every corner.

Forget what you think you know about cilantro. This perfume uses the herb in a surprising way, capturing the city’s energy with a mix of fresh, green notes and a hint of spice. Imagine a peaceful escape in El Bosque de Chapultepec, the city’s green lung, or, picture yourself sipping mezcal in a shaded La Condesa cafe, the city’s energy buzzing around you. That’s the vibe Coriandre 39 is going for.

Normally, City Exclusive fragrances are only available in their namesake city’s Le Labo stores. But September is your chance to get a bottle online or at any Le Labo location. It’s like a little piece of Mexico City, bottled up for you.

So, is Coriandre 39 a love-it-or-hate-it fragrance? We’ll let you decide! Head to the Le Labo website or their Mexico City store to find out for yourself.
