Lacoste honors the free spirit of its founder, René Lacoste, on holiday for Spring/Summer 2025. Creative Director Pelagia Kolotouros drew upon imagery of the tennis champion, who is tall, athletic, and tanned, shown in old pictures relaxing on a beach in the southwest of France with pals. The vibe is contagious and captures a genuine off-piste lifestyle filled of camaraderie, fun, and active beach adventures. A world longing for hope and real liberation makes the joy and carefree spirit of the 1920s all the more relevant.

The collection honors the Maison’s athletic past while showcasing contemporary French elegance. A lively energy is projected by light and airy outlines, which are emphasized by sensual fluidity, a certain carelessness, and deft use of transparency. Warm, natural light streams in from a 1920s building that mimics the era that inspired the collection. With icons Serena Williams, Pierre Ninney, and Spike Lee among others in the front row, models walked out on a sand covered runway to a colossal sculpture centerpiece made up of fishing nets by British artist Susie MacMurray.

Pieces seamlessly transition from the tennis court to the beach and summer parties, together with weekend vacation and tennis luggage, striking the ideal mix between formal and informal, sport and leisure. The Maison’s iconic blazer is crafted with soft shoulders and paired with high-performance shorts, is paired with elegant and effortless sportswear pieces for men.

Always inventive, Kolotouros suggests neo-tennis looks by going back to the beginning. The classic polo shirt, which is now available as T-shirts, evening gowns, and tennis skirts, is inspired by tennis balls, rackets, and prints created by René Lacoste’s close friend, the artist Robert George, who created the first crocodile.
