Celebrating iconic design and premium collectibles Lacoste have collaborated with the world-renowned retailer, Bait. Referencing the brand’s sporting heritage through a nautical lens, the teams at Lacoste and Bait have worked together to create an exclusive edition of an archetypal archive style.
Taking aesthetic influence from the iconic crocodile logo and combining with nautical references, Lacoste and Bait have reimagined the Inca in premium, oiled leather with heat enhanced embossing on the side panels.
A textural mash-up of ‘Buttersoft’ nubuck and softshell neoprene lining combine, while a knitted stretch rib collar inspired by technical outerwear provides freedom of movement. A classic monochrome palette further emphasizes the textural mix, while ensuring the look is clean, premium and enduringly timeless.
With 500 pairs available globally, this limited edition of the Inca features bold BAIT branding on the tongue webbing reminiscent of graphical iconography typically printed on large sails and nautical flags.
A co-branded label has been stitched to the insock, reflecting the monochromatic aesthetic seen throughout the style. Exclusive packaging has been developed for 100 pairs on sale now in selected BAIT stores.
