KENZO’s latest campaign for the Fall/Winter 2024 pre-collection, led by Artistic Director Nigo, takes us on a journey from the West to the East, chasing the sunrise. The collection, showcased in a sci-fi setting, combines the brand’s traditional elements with futuristic concepts. Captured by photographer Lengua, the imagery is set against a backdrop that blends a moon-like terrain with the ocean’s waves.

The campaign reflects on the idea of the sunrise as a symbol of new beginnings and the fusion of different cultures. It features clothing that speaks to both the past and the future, like the plissé soleil dress and workwear with patterns inspired by Japanese fireman’s jackets. The collection also includes modern pieces like cargo flight trousers and a metallic sequinned body, hinting at space travel themes.

The KENZO Constellation prints are a highlight, bringing the brand’s icons into a starry motif that looks at fashion from an earthling’s perspective. The collection rounds off with a nod to the Japanese band YMO, connecting the pre-collection to the main line through shared influences.
