The Kartik Research Fall/Winter 2025 collection, presented alongside the designer’s first book “AMDAVAD,” is a harmonious blend of Indian heritage and modern sensibilities.

Inspired by the philosophies of Indo-modernist visionaries Doshi and Husain, the collection prioritizes all-natural fabrics and materials. Hand-woven fabrics, including Khadi, are sourced from Indian states known for their textile traditions. The use of natural dyes minimizes environmental impact, while intricate hand embroidery adds a delicate layer of artistry.

Silhouettes draw inspiration from vintage archives, with a focus on Kartik Research’s signature “weird suit” – where style takes precedence over function. The earthy color palette and emphasis on imperfect details celebrate the unique beauty of handcrafted garments.

“AMDAVAD,” a 100-page photo book, documents the collection in the iconic ATMA building designed by Le Corbusier and B.V. Doshi. The book, like the collection, celebrates the power of craftsmanship and the enduring relevance of Indian design in the modern world.
