K by Krane Spring/Summer 2014 explore ideas within modern military and the influence of new-age mapping devices. The collection embodies the idea of glitches, crashes, and distortion when accessing modern locator tools. We looked into water resource maps, temperature-sensitive grids, GPS, Google Maps, the failed Apple Maps, and even space wormholes. The print of this season amplifies the idea of modern mapping errors; a destroyed Google 3D rendering of China’s Danxia Mountains.
