Jonathan Anderson, winner of the Emerging Talent Award at the British Fashion Awards 2012 earlier this week, will create a capsule collection for Versace’s diffusion line Versus. The collaboration will be the first in a series of designer collaborations that will work towards the repositioning of the brand. The collection, which will be launched with a presentation-event planned for March/April 2013 in New York.

Jonathan was particularly inspired by an image from a campaign shot by Bruce Weber with Donatella in 1996.

“For me this iconic image says it all, that’s how I see Versus,” he said. “It’s all about the relationship between a boy and a girl, a girl and a girl, a boy and a boy. Purity”
