Izzy Du and Thug Club Men’s Paris Fashion Week Soiree at Laperouse
by Anna Barr
“I believe in connecting people through what I make — through garments, through energy, through gatherings that remind us we’re alive, and that we belong. The real beauty of this journey is not just in the work, but in the people we meet along the way. That’s the magic. You can’t recycle wasted time. This year, I’m not wasting a single moment.” – Izzy Du, designer and founder of IZZY DU
“This was our first dinner and party in Paris, and we wanted to make it special — to gather our community from Seoul, fashion friends from around the world, and create a night that felt electric and raw.” – THUG TEAM
Cult Korean menswear brand THUG CLUB teamed up with designer IZZY DU for an unforgettable dinner and afterparty at the mythical Lapérouse during Paris Fashion Week. A special Rive Droite reverie, an exclusive yet thrilling evening that combined fashion, technology, and ambiance, combining modern noir masculinity with cinematic apocalypse.
Silver trays of cigarettes, a quintessential IZZY DU flair, floated among the audience all night long like artifacts from a decadent fever dream. D33J, Dylan Ali, Siobhan Bell, Broodoo Ramses, DJ Cell, and a live performance by independent K-pop artist Moon Sujin, whose eerie vocals pierced the low-end frequencies well into the early hours, were among the artists assembled to push mood and momentum. By mid-dinner, the underground space had exploded into a bass-driven afterparty. The room was packed with international tastemakers, including 9Lives, CHITO, Hwimin (Groovyroom / Lil Moshpit), GEMINI, Sumin Kim, Jiyong Kim, GR8 Tokyo, Denzel Dion, Sophia Sinot, Diana Korkunova, Jeffrey Chang, Young Mazino, Amber Park, and more. Don Londres Tequila kept the glasses full while everyone else embodied the night’s vibe: raw, elevated, and unapologetic bold.
Izzy last activated in Paris at Silencio with Skrillex in 2023. Izzy moved back from the spotlight to concentrate on the backend of the company, optimizing production, honing operations, and creating a lean fulfillment system to support the brand’s next iteration. As a result, her new drop-based model now reflects her revitalized energy and sharpened vision. IZZY DU’s first swimwear collection, which features a forward-leaning genderless edge, is released on July 8 and followed by the brand’s first footwear drop on July 30.
