Introducing the Gucci Shift
by Adriano Batista
Gucci introduces a new sneaker, the Gucci Shift, designed for motion. It translates the House’s athletic history into a form made for the rhythm of now.

This low-profile design first appeared at the Cruise 2026 show in Florence. Its defining characteristic is its weight, or lack thereof; the shoe is ultra-lightweight. The iconic Web, a detail with roots in equestrian tradition, serves as the central motif, connecting the past to a current perspective.
The sneaker finds a middle ground between comfort and a refined sensibility. It experiments with proportions and color in its different versions. The aim is to engage with the nuances of daily wear while maintaining a forward-thinking presence.

The men’s model carries a distinctly modern feel. The Web appears on the tongue, the heel, and along the side stitching. A large version of the House logo is printed across the outsole, finalizing the look. It comes in options of smooth leather, washed leather, and GG canvas.

With its light build, adaptability, and new design, the Gucci Shift moves the House into a fresh exploration of how we live. It is a shoe for the everyday, built for comfort without forgetting its point of view.
