Seokwon Jang is a menswear designer based in New York who has recently graduated from Parsons. With this debut collection, Seokwon focused on garments, such as the perfecto jacket and the denim jacket that serve as dated tropes for masculinity in the west. The designer removed the said context and transformed the pieces into something that makes the most sense to an outsider, for whom those garments hold little to no cultural/gender significance.
