Introducing RE;CODE
by Adriano Batista

RE;CODE‘s philosophy is that “This Is Not Just Fashion”. The Seoul based brand aims to design newness without waste. It is creation of beautiful clothing with environmental consciousness in mind. The brands name is comprised of two elements: RE; the re-created design inspired by a revolutionary thinking and Code the new culture beyond fashion spreading the value of sharing and environmental concerns.
RE;CODE is a brand that is just as passionate about modern, functional design as they are about incorporating sustainability into their clothing. The brands Inventory, Industrial and Military lines re-purpose clothing to give it new life but also to respect the environment we all share by utilizing existing materials in their designs; For example men’s suit jackets are transformed into women’s skirts or denim jeans are crafted into tote bags. Re-commercializing a disassembled ready-made product is a complicated procedure. Thus, it needs artisans’ work for the best design as well as function.
Despite the long time and effort, all the products of RE;CODE are re-born under these artisans. RE;CODE is about respect and creativity.
