HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE unveiled its Spring/Summer 2026 collection, Amid Impasto of Horizons, as the Guest of Honor at Pitti Immagine Uomo 108. The show took place at Florence’s historic Villa Medicea della Petraia, a Renaissance estate once tied to the Medici family.

The collection draws from the colors and fabrics of Italian life, capturing the tones of landscapes, cityscapes, and everyday moments. It reimagines classic dressing through Issey Miyake’s signature pleating, marking the brand’s first appearance at Pitti Uomo and the start of a new global initiative called OPEN STUDIO.

OPEN STUDIO is HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE’s way of inviting the world into its process. Like artists opening their workshops, the brand will stage immersive showcases in new locations, combining runway presentations with behind-the-scenes exhibits. For Pitti Uomo, Misawa Design Institute and Nippon Design Center collaborated with the label’s team to display the SS26 collection’s development, from material experiments to the evolution of its pleating techniques.
