Pitti Immagine Uomo has announced that Hed Mayner will be a Guest Designer at its upcoming edition in Florence.
The invitation centers on Mayner’s distinct point of view. As Francesca Tacconi of Pitti Immagine explains, his work feels like “thinking with your hands.” The human body is the central focus of his design. His approach is both conceptual and soft, merging strength with a sense of lightness.
The resulting garments appear to rest easily on the wearer, yet they carry a distinct physical presence. They often play with oversized, sculptural shapes that challenge expectations of fit and form. There is a consistent balance in his work between poetry and comfort, freedom and precision.
In response to the invitation, Mayner expressed his gratitude. “It is a great honor to be a part of Pitti, which represents a genuine support for creativity,” he said. He looks forward to showing his work in Florence, noting that the new context will encourage him to try new things.
