In the second chapter of the Gucci Valigeria campaign, the actor and global ambassador of the brand, Jungjae Lee, embarks on a journey to the place where the story of the House began: the Savoy Hotel. It was precisely at this historic London hotel where a young Guccio Gucci, working as a bellboy while observing the international jet set in the lobby, found the inspiration to create his own luggage workshop upon his return to Florence.
Armed with iconic designs, Jungjae Lee explores this historic location while revealing how the House has expanded its original vision of crafting clever luggage designs throughout its 102-year history. He can be seen in front of the iconic sign of the Savoy Hotel, as well as inside the emblematic Royal Suite by Gucci, currently adorned with pieces from the Gucci Décor collection. This exploration not only showcases the House’s past but also its present, reflecting how its founding narrative remains alive today in the Gucci Valigeria collection. The visuals display designs from the Gucci Savoy line, paying homage to the hotel’s significance in Gucci’s history, as well as the new selection of Gucci Porter aluminum suitcases adorned with the GG monogram and the iconic House’s tri-stripe. These suitcases were created in collaboration with FPM Milano, among which the emblematic Bank rigid-wheel suitcase, a classic from the Italian luxury luggage manufacturer, stands out.
