Rombaut’s new Fall/Winter 2025 drop, Ground I, is the latest step in their barefoot series, a shoe that keeps getting simpler, quieter, more like a sculpture than just footwear. It’s not trying to shout. Instead, it’s a blank canvas, shaped by Rombaut’s smooth curves but leaving room for whoever wears it to decide what it means.

The brand has always been about contrasts: martial arts and city life, meditation and fast cars, escaping into nature while standing in the middle of Paris. Ground I fits right in. It’s survival-wear with a retro-futuristic twist, meant to make you feel grounded even when everything around you is noise. The campaign plays with that idea: a monk showing off a supercar in a slick financial district, a joke about trying to stay mindful in a world that never slows down.
