For Summer 2016, Riccardo Tisci has created a collection for Givenchy in harmony with the different areas of a store, a comprehensive wardrobe bursting with character. For formal wear, businessmen’s suits (featuring stripes, a herringbone or a bird’s eye motif) are reminiscent of the virile, infernal elegance of the Sicilian mafia in the fifties. Exuding a more casual vibe, the sportswear looks mix the streamlined graphics of the modernist style with the light wash denim beloved of hipsters, military notes and elements borrowed from workwear. Textured effects are balanced by neutral shades that also highlight the designer’s signature prints.
