From Underwear to Underwater: Dominic Albano’s Seamless Leap into Swimwear
by Adriano Batista
Dominic Albano started with luxury underwear—simple, sexy, and well-made. Now, he’s bringing that same vibe to swimwear. It’s not a big, flashy change, just a natural next step for his brand.
Albano, who went from modeling to designing, isn’t about rushing things. His label, DOMINIC ALBANO COLLECTION, launched in 2023 with high-quality underwear. The new swimwear follows the same idea: pieces that feel timeless, not trendy. “The underwear was versatile—sexy but wearable,” he says. “The swimwear will be too.” He’s rolling it out slowly, letting each piece stand out instead of flooding the market.
The brand’s photos have a retro, film-camera look—soft light, natural poses, a mix of nostalgia and confidence. That mood carries into the clothes: earthy colors, clean cuts, and a fit that’s flattering without trying too hard.
The materials matter. The underwear is made from Tencel—soft, breathable, durable. The swimwear uses recycled fabric, resists chlorine, and keeps its shape. It’s built to last, not just look good.
