Feng Chen Wang‘s Fall/Winter 2025 collection draws inspiration from the ancient Chinese text, Shan Hai Jing, a book of myths and wonders. This legendary work, filled with fantastical creatures and mysterious landscapes, deeply resonated with Wang’s own childhood fascination with the unknown.
Raised amidst the world of Chinese art and culture, Wang developed a deep appreciation for traditional techniques like calligraphy and painting. These early influences continue to shape her creative process, translating inspiration into tangible forms.
The FW25 collection reflects this spirit, bringing mythical creatures to life through handcrafted ceramic sculptures created in collaboration with Jingdezhen artisans. These unique pieces, with their flowing glazes and imperfect forms, embody a key element of Wang’s design philosophy: a balance between perfection and imperfection.
The collection features a diverse range of outerwear, from lightweight to heavy styles, catering to a global audience. Tailoring remains a cornerstone, showcasing Wang’s signature silhouettes but incorporating innovative fabrics like bonded neoprene, which mimics the look of wool while offering a modern, technical edge.
