FEIFEI YANG’s Spring/Summer 2016 “Scorpio”collection is inspired by the patterns created by stars as they move across the night sky and by the concept of black holes. Its designs reflect not only the urbanites’ diverse spiritual needs but also their constant need to explore outer and inner worlds.
The collection’s pattern designs are influenced by the revolving of planets. The textiles include Japanese cotton, fine wool and experimentally laminated technological waterproof fabric. A combination of 3D digital printing and traditional screen-printing imbues the textiles with striking creativity.
Despite being based on modern clothing’s functional structures, every item this season seeks to challenge traditions. The simple designs can be combined with other items, creating endless possibilities for new looks. The adoption of bright colour blocks and gradient effects add more details to looks.
