Fëgg Diaye 10: Tareet x ASICS
by Adriano Batista
Tareet’s “LABEL LIGGEY YAT,” powered by ASICS, is a collection that tells a story of transformation, heritage, and rebirth. Titled Fëgg Diaye 10, the collection is inspired by the eternal cycle of clothing, tracing the journey of textiles from raw materials to finished garments and their eventual reworking into something new. The number 10 symbolizes both an ending and a new beginning, reflecting the collection’s focus on renewal and the passage of time.
ASICS has partnered with Tareet to bring this vision to life. Through ASICS’ Crafts for Mind program, the collaboration emphasizes craftsmanship and the creation of long-lasting, meaningful products. Tareet’s connection to ASICS runs deep—growing up in Marseille, ASICS sneakers were a symbol of style and street culture. This personal connection inspired him to reinterpret ASICS’ iconic sneakers and apparel, merging the brand’s technical expertise with his own cultural heritage.
One of the standout pieces in the collection is the ASICS babouche, a fusion of traditional woven textiles and modern sneaker design. Tareet was inspired by the traditional fur-lined babouches of his family and reimagined them with ASICS’ signature style. The result is a comfortable, innovative shoe that blends tradition with contemporary design.
