Feeding The Queer Archive – Europride Edition
by Adriano Batista

In Thessaloniki, during EuroPride in June 2024, there’s going to be an art show called “Feeding The Queer Archive – Europride Edition.” It’s put together by Konstantinos Menelaou and The Queer Archive, with help from Euro Pride Thessaloniki and Oratos. The show is all about celebrating queer life through art.

Artists from all over are joining in, like THANOS MEGKOS and ALEJANDRO HERNANDEZ BASCON, among others. They’re bringing their art to tell stories about what it’s like to be LGBTQI+. You’ll see paintings, photos, and digital pieces that talk about personal freedom, being accepted, and feeling part of a community.

This exhibition is a place for conversations about being queer, showing that art can be a way to connect and understand each other better. It’s about showing off the strength and creativity of queer folks through the language of art.
