Études Spring/Summer 2024
by Adriano Batista
Études unveils the grand finale of its Paris trilogy by taking to the rooftops, exploring a whole new dimension above the city’s limits. Breaking free from the confines of time and space, the brand embarks on a radical journey through a labyrinth of zinc rooftops, where moments linger and boundaries blur. Amidst the fading light of “CRÉPUSCULE,” the Spring/Summer 2024 collection emerges, offering a gateway to Parisian rooftops where shadows dance and secrets unravel.
Here, weightlessness intertwines with exhilaration, arousing the senses and summoning the present moment. At the pinnacle of Paris, we become the observers, veiled in anonymity. The familiar image of Parisian rooftops shatters, morphing through Études’ unique prism. Jérémie Egry, Aurélien Arbet, and José Lamali, the creative trio behind the brand, delve into the imaginative world of this heterotopian space, seamlessly blending influences from gabber culture, skateboarding, and refined tailoring.
Études maintains its signature style, effortlessly oscillating between structure and fluidity, the rugged patina of workwear and the comfort of streetwear. Tailored elegance harmonizes with functional allure, as outdoor inspirations meld with meticulous details, infusing the sartorial aesthetic with a touch of softness. Bombers transform into jumpsuits, jackets evolve into trench coats with gathered sleeves, while voluminous nylon pants converge with oversized jackets and refined double-breasted coats. Technical-outdoor harnesses unexpectedly collide with elevated silk tracksuits, forging an intriguing juxtaposition that captivates the eye.
