END. x adidas Originals: Celebrating Fly Fishing and Nature
by Adriano Batista
END. and adidas Originals have teamed up to explore the world of fly fishing. This collection bridges sport, style, and the great outdoors, appealing to a new generation of anglers—Millennials and Gen-Z—who seek solace in nature and disconnect from the daily grind.
Fly fishing, with roots dating back to 200 AD, has a timeless appeal. The functional, utilitarian attire worn by anglers has become iconic, embodying the spirit of outdoor adventure. Now, END. and adidas Originals pay homage to this heritage, reimagining angling uniform staples through a contemporary casual lens.
The collection features everyday fishing essentials, seamlessly blending form and function. Cargo pants, fishing vests, bucket hats, tees, and sweats—all submerged in an earthy tonal color palette—pay tribute to the riverside and the diverse fly-fishing catch: wild Trout, Bass, Carp, Pike, and Salmon. Each piece bears a custom graphic—a whimsical, cartoon-style fish—interwoven with the iconic adidas and END. logos, reminiscent of vintage tackle packaging.
The adidas Tobacco, an early ’70s classic, undergoes a transformation inspired by the UK’s native trout. Available in off-white and brown, it exudes timeless elegance. Alongside it, the adidas Mocaturf pays homage to nature, geology, and craftsmanship. Its moccasin-inspired uppers, stitched with three striping mimicking fishing lures, create a unique aesthetic. The tongues feature the capsule’s bespoke graphic, adding a touch of exclusivity.
Leading the campaign is UK rapper, grime MC, DJ, and TV personality, Big Zuu. He wades into the water, immersing himself in the much-loved pastime of fly fishing.
