DSQUARED2 Resort 2026
by Gabriel Córdoba Acosta
Dean and Dan, the funniest twins in the fashion industry and at the same time the Founders and Creative Directors of DSQUARED2, always have something new to offer to their established clientele, and this time it comes in the form of a Resort collection for 2026, unveiled through a lookbook.
Shot on a set reminiscent of a high school bathroom, in the images that make up it, can be found the different models that represent all those rebellious students who, from time to time, decide to break the rules, skipping class and smoking a cigarette in the bathroom.
These guys in question dress according to their spirit and in a carefree way, with clothes inspired by the liberal icons of the 50s and 70s. Such references are easily visible in the leather jackets, luxurious knitwear and new versions of sweatshirt sets that come in the most comfortable format, rugby shirts, ripped jeans that evoke a classic masculine silhouette, and cargo trousers, paired as before with biker boots.
And, as sometimes happens to the misfortune of the bad guys, the professors on campus are smarter than they are and catch them in the act, and this is when they come into action, dressed in effortlessly chic, modern tailoring and sophisticated outerwear.
Resort 2026 by DSQUARED2 is rebellion at its purest, and to intensify it even more are the two exciting collabs that have been carried out. The first is with photographer Tom Bianchi, whose iconic 70s and 80s polaroids of Fire Island’s vibrant gay community vividly revive the bags and swimwear; while the second is with Smiley, whose iconic smiley face deepens the graphic exploration of 70s subculture.
If you’re a naughty boy, this collection is made for you. And if you feel like being that way just for a little while, too.
