Dr. Martens x MM6 Maison Margiela FW24 Capsule Collection
by Adriano Batista
Dr. Martens has joined forces with MM6 Maison Margiela to create a capsule collection that reimagines classic silhouettes with a contemporary twist.
This collaboration is a meeting of two distinct design philosophies. Dr. Martens, with its heritage of sturdy workwear, and MM6, with its deconstructed aesthetic, have come together to create a range of footwear that is both familiar and unexpected.
The collection features three hybrid styles: the 1460/1461 boot, a fusion of the classic 1460 boot and the 1461 shoe, combining oxblood and black leather for a striking contrast; the 1461/Penton shoe, a blend of the traditional 1461 shoe and the Penton loafer, offering a sleek and modern look; and the 1490/1461 boot, a bold and oversized silhouette combining the 1490 with the 1461, resulting in a dramatic and eye-catching design. Each style features the iconic Dr. Martens yellow stitching and AirWair heel loop, while MM6’s signature deconstructed aesthetic is evident in the unusual combinations of materials and shapes.

The Dr. Martens x MM6 Maison Margiela collection will be available from November 19 on both brands’ websites, in selected Dr. Martens and MM6 Maison Margiela stores, as well as in selected multi-brand stores.
