Davide-Marello-Named-Creative-Director-of-Boglioli_fy

Boglioli announced the appointment of Davide Marello as its first creative director ever, for both its men and women’s lines. The choice to create this position is a natural evolution, necessary for the growth of the company.

Giovanni Mannucci, President and CEO of Boglioli, quotes: “Many have asked me, ‘Why do you need a Creative Director? I am firmly convinced that, while the House has been successful for the past 20 years, the creative director’s will be instrumental in transforming the brand’s heritage into a new vision of our tailoring tradition. Our customers appreciate the Boglioli jackets both for their modernity and timelessness. But in a fast-changing world, they are increasingly interested in learning more about the brand, its history and our values. Together with Davide as creative director, our objective is to share our affection, to develop the innovation of Boglioli and to further commit to excellence and elegance.

The designer’s love for tailoring was transmitted since a young age by his seamstress grandmother. He started his career in the fashion industry early, learning his craft working for small brands. This has later led to long collaborations, first with Giorgio Armani, then with Gucci, where he spent nine years in charge of the Formal Menswear.

His passions span from vintage photography to 1900 century painting. He now lives in Milan, a city for which he developed a very special bond. The Boglioli House shares the same bondage with the city, a source of inspiration for the brand life style.

Davide Marello’s first collection will debut for Fall Winter 2016 in Milan during January.
